Re: Nagi’s Virginity

November 17th, 2008 at 00:07:27 by wah

I tried to not pay attention to this whole thing, but the story has been getting too much attention for me to ignore it.

Simply put: I don’t care. But that’s mostly because I don’t care for Kannagi’s Nagi all that much. She’s funny, but that’s it. I much prefer Zange. Or Tsugumi.

I do get the whole virgin fetish, though. I mean, thats why I’m such a lolicon. There is an allure to a girl being inexperienced, and if I liked Nagi I’d probably be tearing up manga volumes too. Well, I wouldn’t go that far. I’d probably just make a rude blog entry.

    what a waste of money…>_<

I think I like Nagi the most of the trio, but I can’t complain about any of them.

Until I can read a translated version of the pages in question, I have no opinion on the matter.

    And that image is LOL.

Such pretty art destroyed by a unfulfilled fantasy.
How can anyone be that old and never done it. She was a tree and they make pollen and seeds.
Yeah, still, waiting for a translation, I think she’s thinking of something else and if it is that. That means less trouble for everybody.

I’ll gladly take walking Nunnally over Nagi, Zange, and Tsugumi.

Otaku rumblings never cease to amuse me. I too understand the allure of character being a virgin, but I never gave it much thought. Not to the point of basing my whole opinion of a character on that aspect alone, at least.
Anyway, what’s the deal with Kannagi? It seems ridiculously popular… I mean, it’s not a bad series, one of the nicer shows this season, manga seemed okay as far as I’ve read it too, but I still don’t get its popularity. Nagi’s a good character, though she’s not my favorite(art club’s president… mmm… and Tsugumi’s nice too) but her popularity is way out of proportion.

    Re: waste of money

Zepy puts forward that the guy probably got the books used for cheap. I’m guessing like, 200 or 300 yen per book, which isn’t that much. Probably even cheaper. New manga in Japan is only 500 or so yen to begin with. I mean, one of those books doesn’t even have an obi. When you buy books new in Japan, it’s my understanding that them having the obi is standard.

It’s the staff behind the series. The director did the first four episodes of Lucky Star and bits of Haruhi (including the dance.) The show also has a bunch of other Kyoto Animation people on staff.

Nagi just doesn’t cut it for me. Tsugumi plz

I find it sort of ironic that these girly, moe animes tend to attract the most rabid, misogynistic, ill – tempered fan base.

  10. Ryoko Says:

    How retarded and pathetic.
Yeah, let’s bitch about the loss of a virginity that you would never have gotten to take BECAUSE SHE’S A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. And even if she was real, she probably wouldn’t sleep with the otaku that worship her.
This is even worse than that “2D marriage” bullshit.
    What’s next?
Are they going to start trying to sue characters?
(“Sephiroth should not have killed Aeris! I’m taking him to court!”)

  11. digitalboy Says:

If I loved a woman I would not give a fuck about whether she were a virgin. This otaku’s judgment is fail.

  12. Link Says:

    Otaku are pathetic, disgusting individuals.

  13. Erious Says:

Thanks for the info. I knew that about the director worked on Lucky Star but not on Haruhi , and I thought this anime in general was just… “inspired” by KyoAni’s work. But if they share more of the staff then it’s acceptable I guess.
I wonder why some of you get so angry about otakus… I generally find myself amused by their inane ideas, though I admit thatt they are a little sad at times. They don’t really cause any harm, and those who do, would probably do it whether they were otaku or not.

  14. Annubis Says:

I think the problem is that it was insinuated. If said sex was drawn, taking a whole chapter. People would worship that chapter and fap to it instead.

  15. the monster Says:

    i lol’d pretty hard @ pic.

but you’d think that the best course of action is to…sell it all to someone who doesn’t care if her cherry’s popped?

but then again, i’m thinking rationally…

It’s like Heroes Season 2, the nerd rage surrounding Claire’s kiss in episode 3.
