Comic Site Rant: 芙蓉楓至上主義
November 17th, 2007 at 10:15:26 by wahSorry for the two week break there, but a bunch of shit happened all at once, and I just wasn’t able to get the comic out on time. This comic marks the end of my 00 bashing, mostly because I’ve dropped the show and have nothing more to say about it. Originally this comic was going to be super long, but I like it better this way, quick and to the point. The art is pretty bad here, but I think the CG job kind of saves it. I’ll try better next time. Yes, that is Shuuichi Ikeda and Toru Furuya.
Nothing much to say today, but I’d like thank Fakku (18+) for plugging me the other day, giving me many hits and many adsense clicks. Same thanks goes out Hinano. Actually, thanks to any major site for plugging me. Really appreciate it.
Yeah, that’s it. Don’t have much to say, as usual (most of the talking happens on the blog now) so I’ll be off.

Yeah, 00 is a yaoi wonderland for all rabid fan girls out there, but Wing is even more so. At least in 00 we have some hot chicks to compensated for all the pretty boys.

I don’t get it. Just because all the main characters are male, why does that make it yaoi wonderland? Sure, if they were all acting like little girls, then yeah……but Viture’s pilot shoots everything that moves and checks if it’s friendly LATER, the sniper gives a whole new meaning to ground-to-air shots (Earth to space), Allaluya (or whatever his name is) speaks to God while bombing the enemy, and the main charatcer’s attitude is “I see an enemy. It’s dead now”. So why the hell do people call them girly?

Because they look like women. Also, the stuff that bothers me about them is all gimmicky crap you outlined in your post. They are not people, they’re angsy pretty boy archetypes made for fujoshi to masturbate to. Amuro Ray was a PERSON. He was just your normal run of the mill kid (actually, kind of an otaku) who got thrown into a conflict and came out a MAN. Not some angsty kid, a MAN.

You can argue that Char is bishounen, but thats his character setting.
and yeah, Amuro, Kamille etc are basically normal kids that got dragged into war and had to grow up or get killed.
Amuro wasn’t Otaku.. hes just.. absent minded about anything other than robots XD
