The episode should have ended with Kyon shooting himself in the head and releasing his Persona.
Yippee skippy.
I think the only reason why Endless Eight ran for 8 episodes is the fact that they needed to fulfill the 28-episode order. While people were quick to call Haruhi 2009 a second season as soon as Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody aired, it’s pretty clear now that this is only an extended version of season 1, including the stories that were originally skipped. That said, I wish they had only ordered 24 episodes, which would make Endless Eight a 4-episode arc at most.
Now I’m looking forward to a 5-episode adaptation of Suzumiya Haruhi no Tameiki. Or maybe KyoAni will surprise us with another anime original episode written by Tanigawa himself. Hopefully we won’t have to wait another 3 years for the actual Haruhi S2.
Well, Kyoto Animation doesn’t have anything lined up (as of yet) for next season…
Honestly, I’d like KyoAni to continue with FMP. They did a great job with TSR.
just finished watching ep9, despite all the frustration of it the ending almost makes it worth sitting through 8eps of the same thing. at least it was good practice for subbing groups.
Fuck, I got some catching up to do. I’m only seen up through episode four. I guess I’ve technically seen episodes 5-9 in that case, but still.
Just finished watching the episode and the ending was NOT worth sitting through the same bullshit storyline repeated 8 times over.
I’m with Freelii. I’d absolutely love more FMP. Honestly, between that and Haruhi, it’s an impossible decision. In a win-win kind of way.
Just please, no more Key adaptations for a couple of years.
The composition of these photographs and their subject manner is horribly creepy, wah.
nice analog broadcast, loser
Ah! Whatever happened to keeping the room bright and sitting away from the TV? In a further note @kransom, its a nice *japanese* analog broadcast – 10x more betterer than your standard analog broadcast
From the first few photos, I thought it was The Ring.
