Welcome to two weeks ago.

Why the hell write about this, and why now, two fucking weeks after the fact? Two weeks is like 10 years old in internet time, and we all know nothing on the internet is allowed to be OLD. The article is kind of amusing though, but the comments leave something to be desired. I guess I can’t expect everyone to be super clever and witty, like me.

Oh god, they’re leaving comments now.

In other news, Gunsmith Cats was awesome. Took me far too long to get around to watching that.

 pt III Be Forever, Internet Dorama

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

In this final installment of my epic and experimental  saga (with an anime adapation directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, animated by SHAFT coming next summer) I will clear up some misconceptions that have been floating around (mostly in Mr. Mirage’s hive of scum and villainy (note: not nearly as cool as Mos Eisley.)) Yes, it’ll be an all new, all sexy, and all wonderful grand finale that clear up all the loose ends and blow you right off your seat to the back of the cinema. It’ll contain gripping drama, as the characters come to figure out just who the hell they are and then sacrifice their lives the for the sake of the universe. It’ll be dark and introspective piece, one that’ll go out with a bang. No survivors! Except me! Because I rock!

BONUS MATERIALS include a deep and insightful audio commentary by me, the original author as I read DM’s response to my original posts, and make fun of it, along with making fun of his readers, then making fun of the people who hilariously flamed me on this very blog! It’s all fun and games, so stick around! Actually not this is the most boring post of them all and the party’s already over, but like Final Yamato, I’ll give you guys the ending you all want, even if it is a bit late.

Ok, time for the boring bit: First off my post wasn’t about Gundam. I understand how many of you would think that it is, and that’s partly my fault for focusing so much on Gundam and not making myself perfectly clear. I used Gundam as an illustration show how anime and its fans have changed over time, and how this change really bothers me. That’s all.

Secondly, scanning DM’s comments to make sure I’m not crazy, it seems a decent number of his minions think the entire post was directed at him. DM seems to think this as well, reading his opening paragraphs. No, I just used him as an example of the kind of fan that really pisses me off. I could have used anyone, but he’s just so good at being a bad blogger.

Thirdly, I do understand that’s it’s silly to get mad at people for having opinions, but something does need to be said about how the current generation of fans has no awareness (and at times) no respect for what came before. And in general people need a kick in the nads every now and then.

Recording this just reminded me that I suck at public speaking. Oh well, it has Giant Robo music so it’s awesome.

And so ends my latest masterwork. I can see you all enjoyed it, but sadly I’ll be keeping quite for a while, until I can find something else that pisses me off enough to rant angrily about then derive pleasure from its responses. Later :D

do you remember that old lullaby?

 intermission ALSO sexy preview footage of  3

Sexy intermission music, by the house’s very own Isao Sasaki. Give him a clap, will you?!

I expressed distinct displeasure over getting level headed, somewhat well thought out responses to my epic fits of madness. However, times are changing with the comments left by Ashley (a crazy and angry woman, which are the funniest kinds of women) and wildarmshiro (I assume he is a bizzaro version of myself from Earth 942356 in one of our many wonderful alternate universes.) I’m quite happy with the amount of drama I’ve created. It really does put a giant smile on my face to read things like this and hilarious comments that go with it. This is almost as good as when I got banned from Something Awful.

ANYWAY, 3, the sexy final installment in this trillogy of terror will MOST PROBABLY BE a special installment in the MISTAKES OF YOUTH PODCAST (which is kind of on hiatus.) Here is a preview of what to expect.

Hey, I can’t talk right at 2am! But it gives me something to do since I can’t fukken sleep. I guess sitting on your arse doing nothing all day can do that to someone.

 pt II FAREWELL WARRIORS OF LOVE

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

This is the super awesome sequel to my previous super awesome post. Unfortunately this post will probably make sense and be somewhat intelligible as it is not written while I bang my head against a wall. Well, the sequel can never be as good as the original, I suppose.

While I did not get disjointed fits of rage and luls in response (instead I got boring level-headed responses) I did learn a lot about the general mindset of the anime blogging community, which is something that has perplexed me for ages.

Basically, they’re mostly a bunch of pussy faggots.

Allow me to explain myself. This came to light when I got the “those old shows were good in their time” responses. In particular, tjhan’s sentiment of the original Gundam shows being shit, and their only merit being that they set the scene for “much better” shows like MS Igloo and 08th MS Team. Now, I’ve not seen MS Igloo (mostly because 3D CG is the bane of my existence) but I have seen 08th MS Team. I think 08th is a good show, but mostly for the attention to detail and Kawamoto’s character designs. It suffers from new Gundam syndrome a bit in that it’s written by pussies. Gundam has always been anti-war, but the old and new have very different ways about communicating this message. The way old Gundam did it was killing off everyone and having the viewer come to the conclusion that war is bad. New Gundam has pretty boys whine and cry about war being bad, and when there are deaths, the characters usually come back due to some contrived plot element. I should note that original Gundam also contains the force of nature that is Mr.Bright. Honestly, I’d watch new Gundam if only they had a Bright character to slap these faggy pretty boys into shape.

So, basically the thing here is that there is a distinct lack of manly passion in anime fans these days. It’s not that older works are shit, it’s that most newer mainstream works pander so heavily to the faggy mindset that plagues today’s youth. And that’s why they like them. Because they are faggots. Either that or they hate things that “look old”, and that’s pretty gay too.

I am thankful that most otaku shows are still aimed at men though, what with copious amounts naked chicks and the like. Sure, as far as savage manliness goes, it’s nothing compared to things like this, but it’s good to know such things are still considered when we live in a word that has people fagging out over shoujo or cumming buckets over horrible mainstream garbage.

Ok, that’s enough from me. I’m quite happy now, and off to watch FINAL YAMATO. The longest animated movie EVER. Apparently Kodai and Yuki fuck in the end. PS, spoilers.
