Comic Update: 不自然なガール

Original Post

Maybe I’m the only one? I don’t know, I haven’t read an anime forum in a while. But I can’t be the only one who thinks Kirino really likes her brother. I mean, she’s so tsundere for him at every turn! How can she not like him? But yeah, it rubs me the wrong way, because you know, honestly? She’s not that cute. Also, the degree to which she acts like a real little sister actually makes the whole affair rather creepy. But it’s still a pretty good show all said, so I’m not complaining. I will however complain about the artwork in this comic, as it turned out quite bad. I was liking where it was going initially, but things went a bit pear shaped. I suppose it can’t be helped.

There won’t be a delay with next week’s comic because… I’ve already finished it! How about that?

Later!

Gosh, with me being such a NEET, why isn’t this site being updated more? Yeesh!

Yeah I think you are right about Kirino liking her brother. Especially when she got that new eroge in the mail and there was that whole thing about the Tsundere sis that she hated but it did seem like at least some part of her realized “OMG this little sis is just like me.” People tend to hate the most other people that remind them of there own negative qualities.

  2. And I thought I was the only one that found a bit creepy their relationship, specially since Kirino is more like a ‘real’ sister than an ideal or eroge sis.

Honestly, I’m sure she likes her brother and appreciates what he has done for her, but she is too tsundere/ immature/ selfish to admit it.

  3. Orange says:

What a relief, I thought it was pretty creepy too. Especially since she is kinda acting towards her brother like my own little sister.
I have nothing against your average anime/manga/eroge/hentai-incest, but, you know, gosh.

  4. The Unknowns says:

After watching, and reading, and my friend sending me doujins, Me and him both agree that it seems pretty obvious she’s a bro-con. She’s just using the eroges as what she wants to do.

We both also think he should just get all of them. Because Mamami is cute and Saori is hot. Plus, rich and similar interests. Awesome.

  5. moonspeaker says:

Yeah, you aren’t the only one. Kirino is a bitch.

  6. TheBigN says:

I have four little sisters, and while some of them might be bitchy some of the time, none are as consistently or as bitchy as Kirino is on a regular basis. To the point where I wonder how come Kyousuke just sits there and takes it instead of also showing his seniority as an older brother besides just helping her out.

  7. roast-beefy says:

When this series was announced and people were all “it’s NOT an incest show,” I was a little disappointed – not because I’m into incest, but because I thought it would be interesting to see if a series could actually pull it off without being creepy.

Now that we’re this far in, and Kirino is such a hardcore, unforgivable bitch, I’m behind any relationship BUT the bro/sis route.

  8. Kam says:

Trust me, you are not alone.
Many people I’ve talked to acknowledge Kirino as a bitch.
I even read the author hates her, heh.

Personally, I’m more of a Kuroneko supporter.
But anything besides Kirino is good with me now.
Guess it’s a good thing that the anime will have two different endings, huh?

  9. [[[[ says:

“Kirino acts cold toward her brother despite the things he does for her, therefore she must obviously just be a bitch”

Textbook example of fundamental attribution error. No self-respecting author would make a character bitchy for the sake of being bitchy. As to those who say “the author hates her too” that phrase is quote-mined. What kind of person writes an entire novel series centered around a character he hates? What the author means is that he also doesn’t like her personality AT THE MOMENT IN THE STORY. This does not imply he “hates” her or her character will not undergo changes. There is a reason (more than just she’s a bitch) she acts the way she does and Kyousuke knows about it which is why he treats her the way she does.

Don’t let yourselves get caught up in the flavor-of-the-month hating on Kirino for no other reason than the “bitchy” the simple-minded people above me keep spouting.

  10. wah says:

I didn’t know it was flavor of the month since I can’t read what anime fans say without getting mad.

Also, the fact that she is bitchy is just a fact, no matter how you try to rationalize it. She is a bitch, much in the same way that the sky is blue.

  11. TheBigN says:

[[[[, I think you might be trying too hard.

  12. Ethereal Cheese says:

    “And a bitch!”
Finally someone said it, I know they’re trying to break the tsundere mold a bit, but she’s coming off more as some extremely conflicted yandere and needs a good slap.
Not sure about the art work in this one, but I really like some of the angles you’ve used, especially in the third panel.

  13. [[[[ says:

“Also, the fact that she is bitchy is just a fact, no matter how you try to rationalize it. She is a bitch, much in the same way that the sky is blue.”

Ever bothered to think “Why does she act the way she does?”. Your sky analogy doesn’t fit because the sky isn’t a person. I’ll repeat myself. She ACTS bitchy, it doesn’t mean she is necessarily a bitch much as how a sad person isn’t necessarily depressed. What you’re doing is simply taking everything in the show at face value and call it like you see it, and while you’re free to hold your opinion trying to state something like “she is a bitch” objectively is retarded.

  14. wah says:

How about this, “I think she is a bitch.”

Sorry to have trampled upon your fragile yome, or whatever I did.

  15. TheDiezGentleman says:

To be honest the show seems to be hinting at a Kyosuke/Kuroneko relationship; which I am totally ok with.

I think Kirino’s bitchyness has a lot to do with what seems to be the core theme of the show, that being what is accepted in “normal” society vs what is accepted in subcultures. I have no doubt that Kirino is a Bro-con, it most likely will stem from something in the past Kyosuke did that he has long since forgotten about (straight from Visual Novel Cliche 101). Kirino knows that it’s considered wrong by society, so she vents her frustrations on the source of her affections.

  16. Fattierob says:

If it looks like a flower, smells like a flower, acts like a flower, it’s a flower.

if it looks like a bitch, smells like a bitch, acts like a bitch, it’s a bitch.

  17. Random Psychopath says:

i personally agree that kirino is a bitch im more into saori or manami

and personally i think the last panel of this comic went well

  18. [[[[ says:

“Sorry to have trampled upon your fragile yome, or whatever I did.”

I’m not quite sure what a “yome” is but don’t sweat it.

I’m not so much a Kirino shipper as just someone trying to help you make less of an ass of yourself.

  19. Ryoko says:

I just got through watching episode 11. It was nice to see her being thankful after 10 straight episodes of bitching.

@TheDiezGentleman: I wish that Kyousuke would hook up with Kuroneko. She’s my favorite female character (well, second favorite really, my true favorite is Kuroneko’s little sister, who sadly only appears in one episode).

Offtopic: supposedly, there’s a “tsundere cafe” in Akihabara. What would that be like? You get treated like shit when you first come in, then they eventually serve you tea (while lettng you know that it doesn’t mean they like you or anything)?

  20. wah says:

I think you can pay them to slap you.
