At first I wasn't really feeling this second season, and I still miss Synergy SP's frantic, otaku-reference-driven humor, but now I'm getting used to J.C. Staff's more relaxed, character-driven tone. Actually, I'd say most characters gained a little more depth now, especially Nishizawa, who was more of a recurring joke (what will she eat this week?) than a full-fledged character in the first season. I'm also starting to get what so many fans of the manga see in Hinagiku, although Maria is still my favorite. It seems that fans of the manga (which I’ve yet to read) are liking season 2 a lot better than the first one.
