Lack of blog posts is due to a lack of motivation on my part. I have some ideas, just no drive to put them to digital paper. I’m also busy with some other things, like printing and mailing out doujin orders.
looking harder, her left hand is bothring me, and harder still, she has a MAN NECK.

Sorry for not replying to the earlier one, but sure, I got some.
Looking at this picture once more it becames obvious that it’s not the case of wrong perspective – because there’s no perspective at all. Even so, her shoulders are not in line with the bench, or the rest of her body, so she looks grotesquely deformed. There are also some basic anatomy mistakes, like her hands being too short.
So, the two things I’d advise you to do – first, learn how to draw things in perspective, and apply that to your drawings. Two point perspective is especially useful in drawing characters. I won’t go into detail here, as it can be found easily on the net, or in any kind of drawing handbook.
Second, learn some anatomy and proportions. I’m not saying know every muscle and bone in human body(although that is certainly useful), but basic staff like “legs are usually roughly half the length of the body”, “hand is roughly the same length as the face” and so on. Obviously, you will have to adapt a lot of that for anime style art, but that kind of knowledge is absolute must for any kind of artist.
Yeah. There was going to be some kind of perspective, but it turned into some weird dutch angle. I’m already practicing with anatomy and proportion, so hopefully with those issues it’s just a matter of time.
you actually captured the style really well I think! Impressive.
Your grasp of perspective is amusing as always.
But you did draw Aoi, so I’ll forgive you this time.
The reason why I keep doing angles like these is for practice. Like I said before, you got any hot tipz?

Her upper arms aren’t the same thickness and her pointer finger is the same size as her pinky on the left hand.
Yeah, basic anatomy is probably the most important. Even I have trouble sometimes on my art so I have to refer to books or real life pics at times.
I DO like your ideas though.
