I am so surprised that PiQ died

Really, how many issues was that? Like, two? Seriously, TWO? Did this magazine not even last as long as Flux??? I wonder what they’re going to do about all those Newtype USA subscribers. They promised two issues of PiQ for every remaining issue of Newtype any given person had left in their subscription. What are they going to do now, mail them back money?
lol, PiQ. What a fucking joke. Even Newtype USA had more cred than that rag.

I would be surprised if anyone got their money back!
I find this hilarious
Down after two? 0_0
This is a disgrace…
The main source for the news, Comics Worth Reading, has already deleted the entry where they said that: http://comicsworthreading.com/2008/06/13/piq-magazine-folds/
Also, the magazine site has already posted the cover for the July issue: http://www.piqmag.com/
It seems that this is just a mistake from CWR.
Ugh, my comment doesn’t appear. Maybe too much links? Anyway, it said that the magazine has’t been cancelled, it seems. But, really looking at the contents for the july issue, I don’t get why an ANIME FAN would like to keep buying it. It seems to be about american stuff now.
I got my third issue like two days ago and it was so terrible I just threw it out.

Oh
DAAAAMN
More or less confirmed now at ANN.

WALL E rules!
Oh, LOL, my mistake.
Anyway, what the hell, ADV? What the hell?
The hilarious official statement from the PiQ blog…see if you can detect any trace of bitterness against the parent company here.
“The current issue of PiQ (Issue 4, July 2008) will be our last.
It’s unfortunate that we’ll never get a chance to see how successful PiQ could have been, but a combination of low advertising revenue, poor business management and a lack of proper marketing and promotion all hamstrung the magazine from the start. We, the editorial/creative/production staff, did the best we could to put together a quality publication, but as we’ve discovered, without a good financial backing, it’s all an exercise in futility.
For those readers that were just starting to get behind the magazine, the staff of PiQ gives a hearty “thank you” to all of you for your support. To those of you who subscribed (or were formerly subscribed to NTUSA), more details will be coming soon.”
It was destined to fail. Why be supprised I ask.
Post title is meant to be a touch sarcastic.
As was my comment :).
Ironically I just got my fourth issue in the mail today.
… And http://www.piqmag.com/ just went down.
