The ending is not at all rushed, and despite being the halfway point, actually feels like an ending. Its good though. Then Lockon ended up getting injured because he was in an emo moment during a computer malfunction, so he got depressed about that and got further depressed when he died in a later episode in some part due to the injury Lockon recieved from his fault. The Tsundere moments mainly come out of an adversail relationship he has Sestuna, who goes against orders to do stupid crap (like opening up his cockpit mid battle or rushing in at the beginning of a battle, or yelling shit like "I am Gundam"). Tierra is a person who so strict about adhering to the "plan" that when he himself goes against it that he cries. Eventually he does start to warm up to Sestuna when it becomes evident that they both think that the Throne Gundams are bad news, but that isn't anything overly gay. And as Anon says above we don't even know that he is human at all. He eyes light up often like he's some sort of robot. During converstations with Lockon, we have some dialouge that suggests that he isn't a regular human. And Cyborgs have been seen in 00: when Litchy (one of the bridge crew members) gets blown apart in the penulmate episode, he reveals a shitload of parts along with his natural organs. So for all we know, he might not even be a guy or a girl. But you know whats the funniest part a about Tierra? In the last episode, during a scene that is a montage, we see a character who looks just like him but is voiced by female seyiuu.
