Kanokon is Dirty…

…but don’t take my word for it, to quote the great LeVar Burton.

I’m surprised that this started off as a series of novels. I mean, why the fuck would you want to read this? It seems more pointless than writing a Love Hina novel.

totally about the WOW factor… mmmservice

Regarding your final question, Barthes once suggested that reading was like sex. Somehow. Actually, that’s probably irrelevant . . . and it’s not as though many will reach the comments section of this entry in any case.

Shit like this would never be made 15 or 20 years ago. I’m not missing anything by not watching this garbage.

Because by the time they’d reach the comment part their keyboard would have already been covered in jizz?

Remember, 15/20 years ago is the late 80s and early 90s now. Tenchi hit in 1992, so yeah, 15 years ago this kind of stuff was beginning to take root. I could also write a whole essay as to why this happened, but I don’t especially feel like it.

And yeah, you’re not missing much, but I like this kind of stuff so whatevs.

I’m writing up a review of that along with Macross F. Will post it up once another new show gets subbed.

Hey, there is a market for erotic literature. Heck I read some when I get bored at looking at incest manga and loli.

  12. BrendantheJedi Says:

BTW, speaking about Macross Frontier, did anyone else think the pacing of the first episode was crap in comparision to the Promo episode? I know they had to cut two minutes (3, including the time taken by the OP), but why the hell did they compound it by adding new scenes which ammount? Seriously it felt like a Gundam Seed Complitation movie. So if you want to watch episode 1 of Frontier, download the bloody Promo episode, which is same thing minus corkscrew manuvers, with Docking procedures, and no Nyan Nyan comercial.

  13. wildarmsheero Says:

I watched both back to back and it seemed fine. Anyway, review of that going up soon.

  14. BrendantheJedi Says:

Really? Seriously I felt things were rushed in comparision. The new scenes seemed right, but the old ones (particularly the central fight of the episode) felt different, rushed. The score didn’t quite fit as well. Well, maybe its just me.

  15. wildarmsheero Says:

well i hope they cut both the deculture one and the new one together so it’s just all there in one go for the dvd

  16. Annubis Says:

Well they kept the nyan nyan dance, to me that’s all that matters in this episode.

If your looking for a good story line. Don’t watch this. If your looking for that find other shows like One Piece or Death Note. But this show is based on fanservice then watch this.

  18. A-Non-E-Moose Says:

I watched the first episode of Kanokon…..

Those pics are the only good thing about that show. You get what I’m saying? I’m saying it’s a terrible show.

  19. k. Says:

I’d entertained some hopes but it turned out to be too slutty for me. Also, v. unattractive shota. :(

Since I didn’t like To Love-Ru either, it looks like I’ll have to wait for “Great Guardians” to get my fun fanservice back…

  20. MArrom4eva Says:

Kanokon may be dirty but who dosent like a little dirt

  21. lol Says:

    It’s not dirty, it’s HOT
