reckless pretty much explained the mindset I have, sorta. Trying to change that this year with the new job and the need to save more (8k on anime related really doesn't seem like a lot but looking around, I could have definitely saved a bit if I was more picky in my purchases). I still have an okay amount saved as well that I don't plan to touch, like ever, even with all the spending I did last year ^^;;

Also probably helps I'm still living at home so food, rent, and utilities are free. Plus I get my laundry done as well (yes I'm very spoiled and very lucky my parents haven't kicked me out of the house yet).

double: I've considered, but I ain't a fast runner :V

Adun: I have more than enough for a different pillow for each day of the week, and I'm only getting more! I have a harem!

BigGSN5: Yeah, not much of a gamer. Lack of time, skills and interest.

reckless: God, I wouldn't trust myself with that amount of money. But, oh, how I yearn for a proper job!

Yeah when I moved out of my parents place for my first "career" type job making 34k annually I went nuts and basically spent all my money that wasn't going towards rent/utilities/food towards anime products. My mindset for expensive/inexpensive completely warped, I would buy 70-80 dollar figurines, posters, dvds, mangas, games, etc like bubblegum... I easily spent 7-8k a year for 2 1/2 years before I finally decided to get it under control...

I recommend saving your money despite how much you feel you need that new Saber figurine :)

You should donate a hug pillow to some place that requests donations of bedding.
-
Most of my "scrillah," as we say in da hood, has to go towards videogaming, a category sorely unrepresented in your list. For shame.

When I look back at my expenditure at the end of the year, it does surprise me that I spent that amount, but it still doesn't feel like a lot of money to me.

$1500 for hug pillows is a bit much. Unless you want to cuddle up with a different pillow each week.
