Damn, you watch a lot. I am a picky mangafag, lulz. Buuutyeah G-L is fucking amazing. It might be hyped everywhere but deserves all its praise.

(Kaiji is better than Akagi IMO, but personal opinions and all.)

These year in review posts take way longer to write than they should. I tend to agree with most of what you've written here.

>Basically what this means to me is that your normal mood sucks. :D

I think I'll have to echo that statement :P

Didn't like Doujin Work, I see. The manga is good, but you can see how it would be difficult to adapt as it is mostly a 4koma. They can't all be Azumanga Daioh. Likewise, the Bokurano (Bokura No or however it goes) manga is much better and differently plotted than the anime, as the director admitted he didn't like the manga. Too depressing or some such, I gather. I shall suggest Shigurui as a 2007 anime you seem to have missed. It's definitely different than Japan's current general thrust of anime series. PS-Try not to call it Shirugui.

As far as Akagi goes, i say u put Kaiji on hold till u watch that because not only was it amazing (well a little slow at the end) it seem to be that Kaiji is just Akagi 2 (I will not say anything more).

As far as moetan goes I still plan on finishing it for a few reasons

#1 that lupin-esk guy who always has the cop after him is cool beyond cool.

#2 It a short show and i hate quiting short shows i have already started, unless they like the worst thing ever.

#3 I am a Lolicon :V

Gurren Lagann! Woot! I totally agree that was the best show of 2007, I though it, in its own way, captured each era of mecha with plot arcs, (Kamina being the old 70's, Nia arc being the 80's with the GL fighting along other Ganmen, the Rossiu having the psychological fights of the 90's, and Simon's arc taking on the limits of existance (E7esqe) while fighting for love with sacrifice.

Still looking through your list, I notice a lot of your dropped shows, but why no 00 on either list? Do you find it so bad that it doesn't even deserve a mention? Was it so bad to you that you've had to selective memory, have to use doublethink to ignore its very existance?
