seiyuu_joke

I suppose every gag anime that utterly destroys the forth wall needs one of these.

This is not subtle at all. They implied that Tama was gay earlier in the episode, too.
I think I even caught a Captain Harlock reference in the dialogue. This could mean that my Japanese is getting better or that I’m even more of a useless nerd. This episode also had some cute Nagi scenes sprinkled here and there but screencaps wouldn’t do them justice so you’ll just have to watch for yourself.

It’s nice and all that they’re releasing quick subs of Clannad, but you’d think they’d realize that Hayate takes priority over Claymore, Shana and Rental Magica.

Well, while I would like Hayate to be released first, those other three shows you mentioned are probably more popular than Hayate. And as for Claymore, they don’t have to even sub it, they just slap their already made subs on the DVD raws provided.
And I love the seiyuu joke in the first picture.

You’re very right on that one, which is why it’s so sad that popularity has little correlation to quality.
Not to mention that stopping (or badly delaying) Hayate when Shana Second and Clannad came out is like a big f*** you to the people who have been watching Hayate since April.
In the words of a whiny 5 year old kid, we were here first. ;_;

@roast-beefy
Yeah, I really like it was well and I really have zero interest in Claymore or Shana II. The first Shana series was good, but this one has been so bad it’s painful, I dropped it long ago. I do really like Clannad though, so I can’t say it’s all bad, they make a great release. And you never know, I’m not sure how Eclipse works, but maybe they have different teams for different shows? Dunno.
@plounted
Yeah, the manga is a bit better overall because of the flow and the order the stories are shown in, but the anime is still really funny. The fillers are a mixed bag, while the Dragon Quest parody episode was great, the island vacation episodes with Schmidt were pretty weak. The show is definitely worth watching though.

plounted: From what little I know about your tastes I’d venture to say it’s Not Your Thing.
digitalboy: how is it possible to fall behind on one of the few good shows of the year :iiam:
I’m not that bothered about the subs stalling, since the show is just as entertaining raw.

Wildarms, please tell me you caught the Quattro and Haman reference in ep. 35. I don’t think I could forgive you if you missed it.

I’m sorry. I watched the episode 2 times and I missed it :(

I always like when little easter eggs like the one above are included in anime. I suppose people who haven’t watched both series wouldn’t get the joke, and perhaps people who only passively watch wouldn’t either, but for those who actually follow such things, it’s a nice treat. If only Rozen had followed the circle jerk rules and drawn Junk just once as Yomi.
