Just watched that Genshiken episode last night. It's great to see more development for Tanaka, who's kind of one-dimensional in the manga, and the addition of Ogiue and Kuchiki to this chapter was fun.

It seems that Minami-ke is the series everyone's watching but no one's talking about.

The absurdity of the 'fight scenes' and the hilarity of Nagisa's mother's bread provide some good contrast to the more serious subject matter. I enjoyed Kanon, and Air to a lesser extent, but within both of those the protagonist is so noble and kind and giving. At least in Clannad, we see it's not all sunshine and icecream at home, and that he's quite willing to manipulate his sidekick if it provides some lulz. I'll be following Clannad and Minami-ke. I saw the Kodomo no Jikan OVA and that was more than enough highly-sexualised loli for me.
