Waga Seishun no Arcadia

The movie had some good scenes, but overall it felt like watching a very dark screen for 2 hours while people died matched to beautiful music. I suppose the movie would be fine if I was going to move on to SSX, but only three episodes have been subbed, so that’s not happening. Also, it reminded me that I’m not in the mood for long over-done dramas at the moment. I guess I’ll try it again if/when all of SSX gets subbed.
I may pick up some episodes of the original series in the meantime, though.

i liked how it moved from dramatic scene to dramatic scene without even bothering to pretend to set them up or establish characters beforehand
ps only men can appreciate these feelings

You put it words better than I could. Thinking back that was definitely a problem. We probably need a Harlock TV series or something to get to know the characters, since clearly the movie felt it was unimportant to waste time with such details.
