But, going back to Kojika:
Since the editing seems to be put upon the animation, does that mean that there is an uncensored version?

If so, will it get on the internet?

If so, when?

Not sure how well seeded it is...

But yeah, CCS most definitely had a great effect. Sakura-tan is just too cute...

Gladly! Of course, I think CCS had its own share of influence later in its day too...! XD Certainly was apparent when I went to Wonderfestival shortly after its run, and I can't think of how many seinen manga and anime I've seen that were clearly influenced...

Thanks for the tip on the Tokimeki Tonight anime, I'll have to clear some disk space and hunt that down now...

"I tend to argue that much of moe as a “movement” comes from shoujo influences during that period"
Yes, I've noticed that too. A lot of the shoujo heroines of yesteryear could very well be a moe girl of today. Thanks for the insight!

Also, you can download the Tokimeki Tonight anime raw. Some group put out a batch. I downloaded it, but will wait until my comprehension is a bit better before I try and watch it.

Yeah, lolita and moe stuff's been in anime and manga since even before Cagliostro. When I was in Japan, a fellow otaku showed me their collection of manga by artists dating back to the mid-70's at least, maybe further back, that were known for helping propogate the whole thing (some of whom were never reprinted due to the controversy over their work...wish I could remember their names). Mahou shoujo stuff, while aimed at girls, still often had vouyerism in them aimed at panty shots and bath scenes, helping secure a small loyal loli-ota crowd, especially in the early and mid 80's. Creamy Mami and Magical Emi come to mind in particular. The whole moe thing, while not named that, was definitely in full swing with stuff like Urusei Yatsura (Megane was often portrayed in the later series and movies as a clear full-on otaku, for that matter), Macross (Minmay was deliberately modeled after shoujo idol-type characters, not to mention Sammy the loli bridge bunny) and the star of proto-Gainax's Daicon III was a loli, and there's all kinds of others to be found. I tend to argue that much of moe as a "movement" comes from shoujo influences during that period on shounen series and male otaku. Also let's not forget Cream Lemon coming out in 1985, which was the first commercial anime pron OVA series, featuring lolis, incest, yuri, tentacles, and even animation by Anno (in Pop Chaser), Hirano Toshiki, Moriyama Yuji, and other animation greats.

I've actually read the manga for part of Tokimeki Tonight, but not seen the anime. The manga is multi-generational, with different arcs focusing on different characters, but the first arc, which the anime ed. comes from, is the best, and is a lot of good fun with high school girl from a vampire family with the ability to swap bodies with whatever she bites (from people to animals to inanimate objects)--hijinks and teen angst comedy ensue. XD I'm sure the anime must have been fun too.

Companies learned that kneading tits/DFC make more money so this lead us to the saturation of this products in animated media today and the "unwanted attention" we're getting because of it. tl;dr, I blame it on the moé.

just a quick note. We´ve had this in videogames where evertyhing was videogame related, now it seems the turn has come to anime/manga...
Give it a couple of months and it´s gone. Back to normal.

I don´t understand, it´s been showing for years and noone has bothered to even complain, now just all of a sudden it´s terrible that anime has younger girls in it?
Media and "five fucking minutes of fame" are wonderful at ruining stuff and giving things a bad image :(

And the laws in different countries aren´t making it easier either...

When will people learn that anime isn´t real? Get it into everyone´s heads.
