Otakon Schedule
July 15th, 2007 at 15:18:14 by wahTildes are maybes, ticks are more than maybes. Since I went down the schedule just marking things off, I wasn’t aware of what overlapped until the end. Thankfully, most of the tilde choices are overlapped by ticked choices, so it won’t be hard to choose which one to go to. Some ticked events overlap, but there are doubles of those, so it’s basically a choice of which one to go to. Friday looks mostly free, so I guess that’s the main shopping day.
Also, is it just me, or is there no rave? Does this mean I can’t make snarky comments about anime nerds raving now? 
Oh yeah, I see that badge pick up on Thursday is between 5 and 10. Does anyone know when people start lining up? I’ve never done this before.

Don’t line up too early on Thursday. Or so I heard. I was talking to some con goers last year and said that there wasn’t much of a line at 7pm.
I’m not even sure if I’m going to pick up my badge on Thursday. The panels I wanted attend are scheduled past noon on Friday. Although lining up for the opening was, for some reason, was kind of fun. There’s something about people watching…

Last year, I was too late on Thursday to pick up my badge. Two years ago, I picked up my badge at around 9PM and there was hardly any line. This year I’m going line up early, since I’m not going to have anything else to do, and I’ll be coming into Baltimore much earlier than usual.
It’s fun to line up with friends, you know, so I don’t mind waiting in line for two hours. Most of which will likely be indoors.

Last year the line was good, if you came at around 7 you would be done in 45 minutes. You just have to balance the wait versus how early you want to get out. For people who had to be somewhere for dinner, earlier the better.
