The R2 discs were in Haruhi order. I heard the US release is also in Haruhi Order because Kadokawa wouldn't have it any other way, and would only let the Kyon Order be on there as an extra. Also, it looks like Bandai plans on releasing <em>all the CDs</em>. I have them all downloaded, but provided they are priced fairly I'll buy them... or maybe just Mikuru and Imouto's character CDs. But the thing is, the Kyon Order episodes are on a bonus disc (or so it says), which means disc space would not be a problem.

But hey, if they're willing to go the extra mile on this, I want to encourage that. I will gladly forsake food for Haruhi. And I suspect that the sub-only Kyon order has more to do with disc space than production logistics. Audio tracks take up a remarkable amount of space, so if they want to fit the max number of episodes into the minimum number of discs, that's a good way to save previous bits. I'm kind of curious about this setup, though. Were the R2 discs released with the episodes in Kyon order or Haruhi order? Wow, that’s REALLY expensive.
